Stayed here for 5 nights. It was rated 5 stars, but it was really more like 4 stars. Average Sheraton type rooms. Nothing spectacular. Don't have high expectations and you'll be okay. There's an ample size gym with old equipment, but functional. An indoor pool. Personal trainers are offered here. Open 24 hours for guests. Live enterntainment every night during happy hour. Tour desk to all the attractions located right in the lobby. Good English speaking staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable. 5 star service.

It was my second time on business in the Great Wall and I quite like the hotel. It is not so far from the airport but a little out of the way of the usual tourist sights in Beijing. Still I found that the number of tourists in the hotel has increased considerably since last year. The decor of the place in general is not too great (it was the first 5* hotel in Beijing) - more 80s than anything else - with a draughty bar in the 7 storey lobby. But the rooms are nicely decorated with good views at the front of the hotel and quieter rooms to the back. The staff are very helpful and speak good to excellent English. Breakfast is good and plentiful. So if you can get a good deal go for it.
