Really great location for tourists. There is a pedestrian mall right outside, and a short walk away is the Master of Nets home in the heart of the old canal system. Lots of food vendors around this area, lots to see. As for the hotel itself, it was fairly clean. My first night I arrived was in the middle of May holiday week. The only thing available was the suite and I just arrived on the train and it was midnight, so I had little choice. It was on the 17th floor, so there was a good view out of multiple windows. The carpet had some big wine stains, and even though there was lots of furniture, it still was kind of tacky. just wondering what I was paying for. So I moved to the business room the next day, and it worked fine at a cheaper price. As far as the gymnasium is concerned, the door was locked so I found someone to open it and it was a couple of stationary bikes and a universal weight set, and a ping pong table. That might have been good if anyone was there with me. I had just wanted a workout, that was a little less than a gymnasium, and they charged me 20RMB for it. On the same floor is the sauna, 50 RMB without massage. The sauna set up is not that good, they seem more interested in doing massage.
